Developing New Flavor
From time to time, Heal tries to develop new product flavor, experimenting with different varieties of flavors and asking friends and consumers to taste.
The picture depicts hibiscus flavor test-run on the left, and Wedang Uwuh flavor test-run on the right. Wedang Uwuh is a traditional drink from Central Java. Spicy, rich of cinnamon, cloves, pandan, lemongrass, and secang taste, some kind of Javanese chai.
We love this process for the human connection part! Yes, we do.
Low Calorie, Low Sugar Dessert
Sometimes my dinner guests would come and tell me that they are on low-sugar, low-calorie, high-fiber diet or all of the aforementioned (more power to them, woohoo). Then this dessert would be my go-to choice to please them. Always a hit.
When is best time to get your dose of probiotic? Anytime, I'd say.
When my kids were young, this was one of my sneaky ways to coax them to eat nutritious, probiotic-rich food. Sourdough waffles are easier to digest by young tummies, as gluten has been partly digested by the wild yeasts.
